I have just come back from watching the movie 'Teeth' and I got to say I really enjoyed it. From the trailers I wasn't sure what to expect - all I knew was it was about some hot virgin who had teeth in her pussy and to expect some blood. What I didn't know was that it is in fact a black comedy and there is as much subtle humour in it as there is gore. In fact gore is probably not the right term because all you see throughout this film is men getting their knobs chopped off - definitely one to make you wince but not particularly bloody.The acting throughout is on the whole believable though there is the odd scene where Jess Weixler - who plays Dawn the lead character – sheds a few farcical tears, but I am not sure if this was intentional for comedy value or not. Either way it was funny and I definitely enjoyed watching her portrayal of this odd sexual abstainer with a dark secret!
Overall I would say this film was dark, funny and wince-inducing, though the story was a little shallow and there wasn't really very much gore. For this reason I will give Teeth an enjoyable, yet on-dimensional 7 sermons.
